The Queen’s Barge

Hi folks. I haven’t said much lately aside from the occasional late-night diatribe. Mom’s kept me purty busy.

As I guess you know we have a brand-new 20-year-old DP. No, that’s not double anything. It’s diesel pusher; a bus with a bigass diesel in the back. So I’ve been on maintenance and repair detail the past month or so. And there’s lots more to repair and maintain than on a little class C.

Fortunately discretion was the better part and I had Dalton Automotive change oil and filters etc; Billy worked for a little over four hours and they charged me only for two hours plus it was _half the price_ of Florida shops. I wasn’t looking forward to dealing with four gallons of used oil. These guys are good and good for a story; a Georgia shop at its finest.

Back to our regularly-scheduled topic…

From the time Henry VIII founded the Royal Navy there has always been an Ark Royal. So that name for this big beast was out; it’s already taken. But an American-English derivative would work; “The Queen’s Barge.”

And somehow it’s more befitting to use the term “barge.”

Coming soon to a Burg near you.
