    Indian Mound

    Indian Mound

    I’ve blogged about Kolomoki before, I know…

Just wanted to mention how good it was being off the grid…

No Internet, no TV! Nice day for relaxing. We climbed up the Indian Mounds at Kolomoki! Walked the trails for the first time. It may have been only 2.30 miles all together according to my hand held GPS’s. But, I could feel the climb and it was great! We have been at this park 3 separate trips. This was the first time that we actually got out and explored. Now that I am in to walking 3 miles a day, I am seeing the other benefits to traveling to State Parks, there is always another trail to blaze. I will never see them quite the same again! So many opportunities for hiking, I can log another 3 + miles per day, hooray!

  • Couldn’t sleep, and all for the wrong reasons!

I expected to have a sleepless night because I was so excited last night. We have not traveled in two years, it’s been too long! We had simply settled in at a campground and didn’t want to leave. Well, it’s leave or see another winter and that’s not what us snowbirds are about!

The Coach was ready early in the day and we just sat around…

Last night, I get heartburn of all things! Took 6 Alka-Seltzers and 8 Tums to get rid of it!

Damn, the Keruig Machine didn’t spit out my coffee! Ooops, it didn’t poke that little much needed hole to give me the magic wake up juice I need. Had to throw it away and start over…

Okay, now that I’ve had my coffee, checked my email, etc. etc. etc. our Internet should go on hold any second and cut me off! Glad I got my trusty backup VirginMobile card. I’m ready to hit the road..

Bob’s ready to be pool boy so we went ahead and made reservations at Kolomoki SP although there wasn’t any real need to. Kolomoki is well off the beaten snowbird track, just the way I like it. According to the weather guessors it’ll be rainy but won’t be near as cold as northeast Georgia.

Now we’re doing our usual thing, sitting around waiting because we got ready days too early.

I called our intended second stop only to find the phone disconnected, so Plan B went into action and our third stop will be our second stop. We’re staying at HO HUM RV PARK! How exciting!
