• Being Snowbirds!

This is our second year on the road as snowbird RV’rs. We pushed our luck again this year. Waiting until the last minute to head south to Florida. Last year we headed south from Tennessee the first week of December. This year, it’s the second week of December in N.E. Ga. Well, not much is different. Today, we cleaned up, and packed up some stuff. You know, all the things we won’t need for the next two weeks. We printed out our reservations for the campsites we plan on visiting, which will take us about a week to travel 582 miles! Hey, who’s in a rush anyway?

Being a snowbird isn’t exactly like you can control the weather, but damn, when it starts to get cold, just head south like the birds do and avoid the snow entirely. lol’s

    Until next time…

  • Campsite Thanksgiving Day!

I posed the question to myself, how does one cook a great T-Day dinner while camping for only two people? I mentioned this to a fellow camper who just so happened to be pondering the same thing! Before we knew it, there was four of us putting our efforts together for what turned out to be a great Thanksgiving Day right from our campers, with picnic table and all!

A pot roast, turkey dressing, giblet gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry’s! Well, it wasn’t your typical thanksgiving dinner, but it did turn out great for the four of us!

  • Getting ready to hit the road again!

We’ve spent the summer camping in N.E. Georgia. We have a 30ft Jayco travel trailer that stays on a lot full time. Over the summer, we built a 10×20 deck with rails! Set up a camp fire ring, smoker, grill and just flat out settled in. But, it’s that time again… Miss Lueffie, our Class C is ready for us to move in to and once again travel south for the winter. Living between two campers is actually a lot of fun. Since our house is leased out for a couple of years, let the adventures begin!
