• Boar’s Head Grill and Tavern, Savannah, Ga.

Here’s a snippet from their website:

Boars Head Grill & Tavern, Savannahs first restaurant on Historic River Street,  has been a favorite for locals and tourists the past 35 years. Locally owned and operated by Chef Philip & Charlene Branan, Boar’s Head offers casual, riverfront dining in a unique restored cotton warehouse built in the 1800’s. Specializing in the finest USDA aged steaks, chops, live Maine lobster, local seafood and sinfully delicious deserts, Chef Branan caters to every diners needs. Relax and unwind with your favorite cocktails before and after dinner in our Tavern with a spectacular view of the Savannah River. Remind the bartender to ring the bell when you see “A Ship Pass By”!

We were served Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict and also Fried Green Tomato Sandwich! They were both great. We enjoyed our Rum n Coke and Margarita on a hot day. Service was great and staff curtious.

  • The Distillery, Savannah, Ga.

Visit The Distillery in Savannah, Ga. 416 West Liberty Street, Savannah, Ga. next door to The Old Town Trolley. Right across from stop number 1 on the Savannah tour. So, if Old Town Trolley picked you up from your hotel or campground, you can go into the Distillery and have a few drinks while waiting on your trolley to take you back to where you are staying in the evening. The folks at Old Town are great! They told us they would come in to the Distillery to get us once our trolley showed up for the Red Gate Campground. Now that is customer service at it’s best!

The Distillery, over 21 craft beers on tap!

They also offer a few drinks I had never tried before. Cucumber infused white Rum with fresh mint and a dash of coke over ice! We also tried Tequilla infused with Ginger and lemon grass with a dash of sprite! Both drinks were a real nice thirst quincher.

You can sit at an old time Cheers bar and the tv's play old movies which really sets the mood!

  • Touring Savannah, Ga.

We toured Savannah, Georgia! We chose Old Town Trolley Tours.  Click Here  to find out more about the Trolley Tours! They picked us up at no charge at the Red Gate Farms Campground and took us to the station. We got on and off the trolley as many times as we wanted over the course of two days. All of he conductors were very nice and helpful and gave us a great history lesson on Savannah. Each gave their own spin on things, which kept it refreshing each time we boarded a trolley. The entire tour is narrated.

Our Guide even brought us back to the campground!

Below are a few favorite photos taken in Savannah, but I took over 230 in just two days! It was tough to pick just a few to share with our friends and fans.
