You simply can&#8217;t take an RV into downtown Savannah and I think you&#8217;d be crazy to fight the traffic with a toad.<\/p>\n<p>The campground itself was once a 440-acre dairy farm, and is off \u00a0US 17.\u00a0 The RV sites you see in the photo are arrayed around a big field and have full hookups; many other sites have electric and water. There&#8217;s a few other sites behind the treeline that are much more private and shadier.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately the area is pretty loud, no fault of the campground. There&#8217;s a couple of highways, a railroad and all-day helicopter ops from Hunter Army Airfield.
